We started by discussing her needs and clearly outlining the bathroom that they envisioned. From there, we came up with a plan to make their bathroom easy on the eyes and easy to maintain.

Project Description

We collaborated closely with this client to create a bespoke bathroom according to her preferences and budget. With the help of the A Plan Design Team, Chris now has a bathroom that features top-quality materials and fits the overall style of her home.

Working around the vanity mirror as the hero set piece, each aspect of this design was specifically chosen to match the period style of the house, yet create a modern overall feel. All the items were carefully selected by Chris, with guidance of our expert bathroom designers at A Plan.

Project Details

Detail to match the period style

From the 250x250mm Black and White Spanish Porcelain floor tiles to the Milli Glance style tapware, all finishes were specifically selected to balance the period look with the modern feel that can be seen throughout the family home. A combination of Surface Studio White and Materika Industrial Mud Concrete Italian Porcelain wall tiles were chosen to create more depth in the space.

An elegant mirror of Chris’ choice

This unique mirror, provided by Chris, became the basis of all the other pieces in the bathroom. Securely mounted, the hero mirror is featured at the centre of the room with lighting to accentuate its antique style.

Plumbing redistribution for space allocation

After careful consideration, the plumbing for Chris’ bathroom was redesigned and reset to adjust the layout and give the space a larger and more natural flow.

A recessed shower niche was added to the wall to provide ample storage without encroaching on the shower footprint. A Kado Lux Tile Inset Channel drain was installed in the shower to contribute a modern look to the flooring.

A rang of finishes to finish off

Designed to balance aesthetics and practically, the 1800mm Back-To-Wall Shanti bath offers that freestanding look while saving space.

From the Posh Domaine Short Twin showerhead to the Gen X Towel Ladder to the Sonia Tecno toilet roll holder, chrome finishes were added in spaces where they are accessible but do not clash with the aesthetics.
