Tammie and Mark Brincat are the parents of 5 year old twins Nathan and Jade. Tragically, Nathan has been diagnosed with mitochondrial disorder, causing severe development delay and he will not live past 23 years of age. Mark himself is a severe diabetic awaiting a kidney and pancreas transfer.
Despite losing her brother recently to the same illness as her son, Tammy continues to shoulder the worry and the stress of weekly doctor’s trips and heavy medical bills.
To make life easier for the Brincat family, the Domestic Blitz team decided on a home make-over and A-Plan was asked to lend a hand.
Before Installation
The Brincat’s old kitchen was cramped and cluttered. Storage space and food preparation areas were in short supply.
A skylight was added to give extra light. Storage space was provided with wall cabinets fitted with Blum Aventos easy lift doors and extra wide Tandem Box drawers with Blum Orga-line cutlery dividers and pull-outs.
After Installation
The new kitchen features Polytec Grafton Heritage White vacuumed formed doors in tongue and groove style with black French provincial handles, a Laminex White Dimensions square form bench top and decorative black tiled splash back.
The kitchen cabinetry was designed, manufactured and installed in 5 working days to the value of $8,500.
