Use the $25,000 grant to secure a quality A-Plan Kitchen

If you have been dreaming of a beautiful new kitchen, now might be the time to get started on that renovation

The Federal Government’s new $25,000 HomeBuilder grant for home owners could be just the excuse to upgrade your kitchen as part of a large renovation, or new build.

The HomeBuilder program is part of the government’s response to restarting the economy after the coronavirus-related lockdown and could be a great opportunity to get your dream kitchen, bathroom or laundry (or all three!) earlier than planned.

HomeBuilder provides eligible owner-occupiers (including first home buyers) with a grant of $25,000 to build a new home or substantially renovate an existing home. It is designed to assist the residential construction market by encouraging the commencement of new home builds and renovations.

And, if you have been working from home, you may have been looking at your old and tired kitchen and dreaming about updating the space.

Investing in your home is a great decision at all times, but particularly during a recession. It is well known that a new kitchen, bathroom and laundry can add tens of thousands of dollars to the value to your home – these are areas definitely worth investing whether you plan to stay in your house, or eventually sell.

High quality design and construction such as that provided by APlan can be a significant investment, but will add a finishing touch and added market value to a large-scale renovation.

You can even use the additional government grant to add quality joinery such as a walk-in robe, or additional storage solutions – other great additions to a home renovation.

But get in quick! The temporary scheme will last only until the end of the year, aiming to build 30,000 homes by Christmas.
